you know what. The players should be practicing their shots after the 2 hour practice on their own.

"There was a lot to learn, both good and bad," Hawai i head coach Gib Arnold said of the 77-63 loss at nationally-ranked UNLV last Saturday. "We came out obviously sonoma mission inn and spa really slow and they jumped out on us. Their athleticism kind of overwhelmed us to start the game, but I thought our toughness pulled through at the end."
The Warriors are 4-2, with both losses to Top 25 teams. In the latest polls released on Monday, Illinois is ranked No. 13 in the Associated Press poll and No. 14 in the USA Today Coaches Poll; UNLV is No. 21 in the AP and No. 18 in the Coaches Poll.
"If you take the first half of the Illinois game and the second half of the UNLV game, that's a pretty darn good team for 40 minutes," Arnold said. "And that's within us. That's the potential that this team has."
The Warriors had their worst shooting game of the season at UNLV. They shot 33.9 percent from the field, including just 5.6 percent sonoma mission inn and spa (1 of 18) from 3-point range. At Monday's workout, Arnold made each player make 100 3-pointers and 100 free throws.
The Warriors sonoma mission inn and spa will try to get back to its winning ways this Saturday, when they host Pepperdine at the Stan Sheriff Center. The Waves are 4-3, and will play a home game against UC Riverside on Wednesday before heading to Hawaii.
"Pepperdine's had a really good season," Arnold said. "They beat Washington State, they beat Irvine, which is picked ahead of us in the Big West … they got some good athletes, a little bit undersized, but they really get up and down."
The Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic is offering fans that purchase a ticket to the Dec. 8 University of Hawai i-Pepperdine men s basketball game at the Stan Sheriff Center Ticket Office, the opportunity to purchase a ticket to either session one or session three of the 2012 Hawaiian sonoma mission inn and spa Airlines Diamond Head Classic for only one dollar.
This offer is valid only at the Stan Sheriff Center box office. The Hawaiian Airlines sonoma mission inn and spa Diamond sonoma mission inn and spa Head Classic ticket must be purchased at the same time as the Hawai i-Pepperdine ticket. The box office is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Session three of the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond sonoma mission inn and spa Head Classic tips off Sunday, December 23 and will feature the two losing teams from session one playing at 10:00 a.m., followed by the winners from session one playing for the right to advance to the championship game.
Aloha Gib and the team: got off to slow start in the first half against UNLV, turnovers, nervousness, big time crowd for new guys, did not shoot well form outside..very happy, that your team actually won the second half..team did not give up..Garrett Jefferson sure gave you a boost , and Christian always sonoma mission inn and spa works hard from opening tip to final buzzer.
From here on out, I guess all the teams will have those quick guards, and wings, and Bigs that can step out and hit threes, yes you are on the right track, keep the guys focused, so much more basketball sonoma mission inn and spa to play, and you guys are 4-2 with a possibility sonoma mission inn and spa of entering 2013 with a pretty good record.
Shout to whole team Hauns, Jace and Vander have to lead.. and Gib, don t be afraid to use Ozi, give him time in practice and game, once his shot and steady rebounding and D gets into a groove he will help, also, use of Garrett with more time, and taking sonoma mission inn and spa care of the ball, he creates on ball defense, great quickness, and gets to the rim, you want your PG to a least score maybe 6 or 7 pts a game with 5 or 6 assists..and shoot FT s at 70% or better..
you know what. The players should be practicing their shots after the 2 hour practice on their own. Gym rats don t need to be told what to do on their own time. If their shots ain t dropping it s automatic
No. 21 UNLV..a team that was blowing them off the court in first half, Gib and staff did their thing during halftime talk, Team comes out and basically wins the second sonoma mission inn and spa half scoring wise, if they put together 40 min of that second half intensity..yes, you got it..Hawaii would be 2-0 against top 25 ranked teams, and probably be just outside if not a top 25 team themselves.
So, we fans here,at this site, and realistic ones locally and globally, know that UH MBB team has a way to go to correct weaknesses, and continue to work on strengths..one thing I appreciate of this team, and I truly believe Gib and staff and team , feel same way, these young guys are TEAM first players..1-12 on active roster and the 4 on RS from starting 5 and bench to scout team, these guys are not going to quit, I just love the effort moster motor and energy by Christian S. to help team..he kept his promise, win or lose, he would always give 100%..team has to take care of ball, shoot well from field and FT line, and close out games..
Still think Gib will tinker with first 8 or 9 guys..hey going in, from summer, sonoma mission inn and spa we all thought strength of team was Bigs, which it still is, and Isaac will get his offense and speed of game going by BWC play, and Davis will play key roles backing up..or starting..
One thing of interest, these so called mid to low majors, they are giving the Majors, and High Mid Majors, a run for their, money either they are beating these top 25 type teams, or coming very close, even though they have losing records I say , Just my opinion after watching NCAA BB for decades. PARITY whether Chaminade taking down
Texas(that Virginia game was and is one for the ages..), and these BWC teams beating UCLA at UCLA, etc..it is unreal season..the best part..UH MBB team OUR Hawaii Hoops team, has a shot at BWC tourney title and a chance to dance, hey guys, if Gib and team reading this post..keep getting better, get good seeding.. and hope you all are playing fantastic, peaking come March 2013!!
