First of all, you do NOT have to go to the MGM for tickets. They print them out right there for you at any of their regular stops. The people are very friendly and explained everything. Also, it runs until midnight not until 5pm and it comes every half hour.
Having grown up in SoCal, I have been to Vegas many times so a tour was not high on my agenda. However, miami american airlines arena I was with someone who was visiting for a short time and decided this was a great way to get an overview for them. It really was and in the end I enjoyed miami american airlines arena it too. The bus goes into places (back sides and alternate entrances) to the casinos that were interesting to see. There is a nice stop at the Vegas sign where you can get off the bus to take photos.
If you have plans to visit Las Vegas, this is a must do! Because I can not walk a far distance and I would have never seen the whole strip, this tour bus was excellent. It took you up and down the strip. Around the back way, and it even told you the history of Las Vegas and who and how Vegas came about. miami american airlines arena Not only was it fun, but it was very informative. And yes you can get on and off at any time of the tour with no problem for two consecutive days. The only problem that I did have on here was that I rode on top where it is open and my brand new Polo hat flew off of my head. So if you plan on riding on top please hold on to your hats. But other wise it was GREAT!!! Gold star you have done it again.
This was our first Goldstar bust! The perfect storm of events converged, and we did not hop-on, hop-off miami american airlines arena or tour. We could not find a loading point even though while still pedestrian we did see the buses. We asked concierges, and police alike with no success. Ultimately, we stopped a bus in traffic and boarded just North of Caesar's Palace. Literally, it took us 45 minutes to travel that block to Flamingo--I miami american airlines arena know that sounds impossible but unfortunately it is the truth. We got as far as the Las Vegas sign (South end of the route), and the bus driver announced that we were so far behind miami american airlines arena schedule his supervisor miami american airlines arena told him to just leave us where we were BUT he (the bus driver was so benevolent (my adjective) that he would take us off-route somewhere NEAR our hotel so long as we would take care of him since he was already miami american airlines arena late going home! The driver dropped us at Koval and Tropicana and we had to fend for ourselves.
I grant the traffic was very heavy but the poor availability of pickup/dropoff stops, the fact the driver could have told us the tour was impossible due to traffic, and the unprofessional way we were left to walk home were pathetic.
Please note that this bus NO LONGER STOPS at the MGM Grand. We had to go to the stop outside of Bally's to exchange our voucher for tickets. It was a nice way to get to some of the hotels we hadn't seen before, miami american airlines arena e.g. the Wynn. Again, remember that it doesn't stop at all the hotels, just some of them. It's not good transportation miami american airlines arena if you're in a hurry to get somewhere, but OK for general sightseeing. The recorded tour narration was informative and the people were very helpful.
Open Top Sightseeing invites you to bring your camera and join them as they cruise the Las Vegas Strip! Hop on and they will show you the sights you came to see; hop off and you can visit world-famous hotels, lounges, dining, shopping, award winning shows, thrill rides, family entertainment miami american airlines arena venues, wedding chapels and much more.
There wasn't anything new about double-decker buses running up and down the streets of London, but it was curious to see these buses running up and down the streets of Paris. Thanks to Mr. Abdallah El-Azm, a clever and fun way to view one of the most romantic cities in the world made its debut in the 1980's.
What made Les Cars Rouge even more wonderful was the fact that the roof was chopped off, thus allowing guests to really see Paris! Eventually Les Cars Rouge expanded to Rome, Italy and Les Cars Rouge was on its way. It was a novel way to sightsee in Paris, miami american airlines arena France and Rome, Italy on a big red double-decker bus with an open top.
At the same time a couple of Scandinavian entrepreneurs were starting up the very same concept in Washington DC - Open Top Sightseeing. The two companies started a dialog and in 2006 eventually merging together under the Les Cars Rouge umbrella.
