Dollar Rent A Car of United Arab Emirates, a franchisee of the Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, and one of the fastest growing air lines tickets car rental companies in the region, announced the launch of its new car rental locations at two hotels in the UAE - the Hilton in Abu Dhabi (Five Star), and Ramada Plaza (Four Star) in Dubai.
The launch follows Dollar's strategic plan to capitalize on the soaring occupancy rate in the Emirates this year, which resulted in a 21 percent increase in its business from the hospitality industry. Marwan Al Mulla, General Manager, Dollar Rent A Car in the United Arab Emirates, air lines tickets said, "After close market watch, Dollar has identified that our business from the hospitality industry has increased this year, compared to the last, and we see a further increase with the rise in package deals and tourist events. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the most vibrant cities in the Middle East, and the hospitality sector is only set to rise in the coming years." Hilton Hotel in Abu Dhabi is located off the cornice, and Ramada Plaza is located in the very popular Jumeirah Beach Residence in Dubai. "We considered beach hotels because they are frequently sought-out for weekend getaways," Continued Al Mulla. "During season-time, they are often operating at or over one hundred percent." Dollar Rent A Car currently operates in 21 outlets in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Dollar began operations in the United Arab Emirates in 2004, and now boasts a fleet size of over 5,000 vehicles. Dollar provides accessibility and cost-effective services to short term as well as long term customers, including hourly rentals.
