Hopes for cheaper flights locally and regionally seems to be materializing southwest airlines air fares with introduction of several low budget carriers in the country and the Eastern Africa region. National carrier Kenya Airways and budget operator Fly540 have received approval from Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) to launch low-cost flights in the region using narrow body, short haul airliners.
