Fly to Los Angeles then connect on a domestic flight to Denver. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. Later we'll finalise paperwork for our bike rentals. Tonight we'll meet for a welcome dinner to discuss logistics and review maps for the days ahead.
Today we head to our bike supplier. Here we'll pick out our bikes, sort out any gear you might need and complete our rental contracts. Then we'll have an orientation ride around town to get used to our bikes before the rest of the day is at leisure.

We make our way today into the heart of the Western United States and one of her most beautiful cities, Santa Fe, New Mexico. As we enter St. Louis, we see one of the most recognizable structures in the US, the Gateway Arch. The gleaming, stainless steel structure welcomes travellers heading from East to West.
We follow Route 66 today to Springfield. It was the home of Abraham Lincoln and we'll have an opportunity this afternoon to view some of the historic aspects cheap airline tickets for students of this city which is the Capitol of Illinois.
This morning we head towards Chicago and we'll travel over many sections of the original Route 66. Relax tonight as there are no activities planned perhaps head out for some of that Chicago deep-dish pizza or visit one of the many blues or jazz clubs for which the city is famous?
After a relaxed morning, we'll hit the road again and head west to the home of Harley-Davidson, Milwaukee, where we stay for four nights.
