Creating Change returns to Atlanta after a 12-year hiatus for its 25th anniversary national conferen

"The Producers" opens the Tony winningest Broadway musical of all time via Theater of the Stars. "Keep It Gay" with the Atlanta return of Bialystock and Bloom and their scheme to create the biggest flop in history. Atlanta native Stacey Todd Holt plays Leo Bloom (top photo, right). Runs daily except Monday with two shows on Saturdays and Sundays through Jan. 31 @ Fox Theatre.
Creating Change hits town with its annual national conference midtown madness 3 on queer equality from the National Gay Lesbian Task Force. AGLCC Fourth Friday kicks off the first happy hour networking event of 2013 from the LGBT professionals and business owners of the Atlanta Gay Lesbian Chamber of Commerce @ Spice Market in the W Midtown, 5:30 p.m.
The Other Show isn't called Atlanta's midtown madness 3 most unusual drag cabaret for nothing. Edie Cheezburger and her girls take the stage in the Jungle Room @ Jungle, 8:30 p.m., followed by JunglePop Top 40 beats in the main room
"Visiting Mr. Green" (third midtown madness 3 photo) shows what happens when a young gay man almost runs over a senior citizen who doesn't even know what "gay" means. They can't stand each other at first, but a touching dramedy unfolds as the two begin to find shaky common ground @ Stage Door Players, Dunwoody, 8 p.m. Runs Thursdays through midtown madness 3 Sundays until Feb. 17.
Shabbat Shirah: Between Two Worlds includes music from the band and choir of the gay-led, inclusive Congregation Bet Haverim during this special intergenerational service exploring liberation and justice @ CUCC, 7 p.m. Tickets to Saturday's "Between Two Worlds" concert are sold out.
Franken-Party with the Sexual Side Effects is a rock show with three awesome bands to kick off the local trans-fronted rockers Franken-Tour. SSE brings body painting, costumes, go-go dancers and an epic light show with guest bands Go, Robo! Go! and MeteorEYES @ the Drunken Unicorn, 9 p.m.
Ginger Appreciation Night: Red Meat Party celebrates Atlanta's hot gay redheads and their admirers led by DJ Diablo Rojo (fourth photo). Auditions for "Rent" are brought to you from the creative minds of party planner, entertainer and Sing For Your Life judge Barry Brandon and photography talent Randall Carpenter. The Art of Jay Shoemake opens with a reception. The exhibit presents the layered, sociologically informed works of this gay Atlanta graphic designer and photographer as he documents one day in the ever-changing life of the street messages midtown madness 3 in graffiti @ MISTER Center, 6 p.m.
Le Sexoflex Video Shoot Dance Party sees the return of Atlanta's rockinest queer-inclusive maladjusted band (seventh photo). The Warhol Experience offers something new to gay Atlanta s party crowd. Step into a Warhol-inspired midtown madness 3 scene with a gallery of surprises. The Gentlemen s Ball lays out the annual black-tie affair to benefit AID Atlanta s Evolution Project outreach to the experience of local gay and bisexual black men. Of course you have to dress up, but that s half the fun, and for your trouble and ticket price, you get a three-course meal, open bar, entertainers like Creating Change s Frenchie Davis and other milling-about celebutantes @ Mason Murer Fine Art, 7 p.m.
Armory Reunion Party (bottom photo) toasts to gay Atlanta nightlife gone by with DJ Mike Pope playing hits from back in the day, performances by infamous past and current Armorettes, drink specials and a prize if you can still show your vintage Armory midtown madness 3 card @ Amsterdam, 4 p.m. The event comes just as the Armorettes celebrate 34 years of fundraising camp drag and as the Armory site was razed for condos. Creating Change wraps its 25th annual national conference on LGBT equality from the National Gay Lesbian Task Force. The closing brunch includes a performance by Frenchie Davis @ Hilton midtown madness 3 Atlanta Downtown, 11:30 a.m. preceded by an interfaith service. Livestream the NGLTF conference online.
