I ve been using Ita as my go-to to-do list for months now. I am not a fan of big GTD applications like OmniFocus or full featured to-do list apps like Things. These apps are both great (so I hear) but are wrong for the way I have to function in the world.
If I find myself self-employed or running a small business at some point, I can imagine running things with a dedicated super-app like OmniFocus. But today I have a day-job and my job has a ticketing system and that ticketing system integrates with a wiki, version control, code review tools, and testing systems.
I use Evernote to solve this problem. I can use Evernote cheap rental car atlanta as an everything-bucket to store research and notes, I can use it to create a simple to-do list, and if I have a bigger project I can create a folder and process everything GTD style or use it as a primitive tool for Agile style development.
My wife is a harried medical student. I support her by taking care of most of the cleaning, laundry, shopping, and all of the cooking. Fortunately for both of us I would rather be in the kitchen than be most places.
In order to get everything done over the course of a short weekend, I use lists. Short lists. When the lists are done I throw them away. I don t need to remember that I did the laundry on Saturday. I do the laundry most every Saturday. If the lay dry was special that day, I would have taken a picture.
Ita works well with the iOS dictation feature. As I run around the apartment preparing to do the shopping, I walk from one room to the next closet telling cheap rental car atlanta my phone things like detergent or paper towels . I am making my shopping list one-handed.
Ita allows sharing of a list via copy, email, text message, or printing. Why you would print a list is beyond me, but hey. It s an option. The sharing feature allows me to zip a grocery list to over to my wife via text message on the off chance that she can get to the store after rounds. Sharing isn t a feature I need often, but I m glad it s there if I need it.
