The premise is simple: I will NEVER recommend a restaurant I haven't eaten in, a hotel I haven't sta

My friend surprised me and flew in from the Bahamas for less than 15 hours yesterday. He had his driver pick me up and whisk me off to the new Bulgari Hotel in Knightsbridge for dinner. We descended a dramatic staircase to our table at their Il Ristorante travel package deals new zealand Italian restaurant for our meal.
A nice after dinner treat offered by the house was the dessert called Sbrisolona, which is a crumbly tart Italian peasants used to make by mixing cornmeal, hazelnuts and lard, instead of butter. It is usually broken with the hands or with a small hammer. Find the recipe here .
As a parting gift, we received a bag of Italian travel package deals new zealand cookies known as "brutti ma buoni" travel package deals new zealand or "ugly but good," which almost have a meringue-like texture and are mixed with various ground travel package deals new zealand nuts.
