So, here it is! My class outfit! I wanted something special to wear when I teach my class at Sewing

It's time! Travel Handmade walt disney vacation packages is here, with Sewing Summit just around the corner! Travel Handmade is a fun series on all things traveling handmade: bags, travel projects and even garments! Today I'm sharing with you two of my travel handmade projects!
So, here it is! My class outfit! I wanted something special to wear when I teach my class at Sewing walt disney vacation packages Summit, and the Washi Dress pattern by Rae Hoekstra totally fit the bill! I've been wanting walt disney vacation packages to try out this pattern, and I picked up my favorite print from Indie by Pat Bravo last month with it in mind. I love this print, it has such a Fall feel to it. It's a great medium scale, and the color is great for clothes.
The pattern is great! Really walt disney vacation packages easy to follow and a pretty quick sew as well. I cut out the pieces over the weekend, and stitched it up today. walt disney vacation packages I think the sewing was around 3 hours, which also included time to eat a peanut butter sandwich!
The fit in the top is perfect! I was worried about the top, since it is a pretty form fitting style. I did a quick muslin of the top and ended up making the size that my measurements fell into. It turned out just right! I may take a bit off the sides of the skirt, it's a bit too full for me.
To match my new dress, walt disney vacation packages I figured I needed a sweet clutch for my phone, room key and honestly, some candy! That's what every girl needs during class, right? I wanted walt disney vacation packages something patchwork-y, but wasn't feeling like improv, so I dove into my craft books for inspiration! I ended up finding a pattern for this sweet pouch in Modern Log Cabin Quilts ! It actually has a whole chapter with log cabin bags! So right up my alley!
I am so happy with how my teaching outfit turned out! I love wearing handmade clothes, it's been such an adventure sewing garments! Last year I wore a handmade skirt for my class, so it feels like I'm upgrading with a dress this year :)
