In honour of today's #TTOT topic (that's the Travel Talk on Twitter, day tours belize city for those of you not following the hashtag used by top travel bloggers), it's time to take a look at five of the best heritage sites across Europe that you should tick off your list.
The locals call it Oporto, but you might know it better simply as Porto, Portugal's second city, which is home to port wine and backed by beautiful scenery. One claim that didn't sway the UNESCO panel, but sounds pretty cool all the same, is that author J.K. Rowling began writing the Harry Potter books here. Wander through the streets of the medieval quarter and visit the stunning Palacio da Bolsa when you visit.
Majorca's dramatic mountain range is a haven for adrenaline junkies and Olympic teams, training in everything from canyoning to professional road cycling. When you're not getting on a bike or scrambling down a rock face, check out some of the well-preserved traditional towns that sit beneath the mountains, such as Deia and Valldemossa.
We might be about to change Popes in Rome, but the Vatican City itself will stay reassuringly the same, right down to the traditional uniforms that the guards wear. The Vatican Museums are also a big draw, holding some of Italy's most famous artworks, plus the ceiling day tours belize city of the Sistine Chapel is a must-see for tourists and locals.
Corfu might seem like an unexpected inclusion, but there's loads of history to be explored here. As an important Mediterranean trading port, Corfu has had to defend itself from many invaders over the years, leaving behind several forts designed by the Venetians. Now you're more likely to see an invasion of Brits wanting to try the delicious seafood or top up their tans on the beach at Faliraki.
You can't miss La Grand-Place when you visit Brussels; it's one of the central meeting points in the city, where people used to trade goods. The town hall, which looks a lot like a church, is also found here. Even back in the Middle Ages, this was a hub of culture and a place to find goods from all over Europe, though in 2013 you're also likely to find great concerts and open-air events being staged day tours belize city here, too.
