It is a very nice hotel, placed at Lido Island, closed to Lido Vaporetto-stop, from which it is possible to reach Santa Lucia main railway station in 45 minutes, and San Marco in 20 minutes car rental atlanta airport (day and night connections).
Room is elegant and comfortable, and sights to the Venice Laguna are good, although a new Vaporetto-stop is being built just in front of the hotel. Second floor is therefore recommended, as in the first one sights are not so good.
I just stayed for two weeks at this hotel while taking a photography class. The view of Venice every morning (from my balcony!) was wonderful, and the location right off the vaporetto was perfect. I didn t have to lug my bags very far, and found it quieter and more fun to be a step away. I know the Grand Canal sounds romantic, but I know I wouldn t have slept as well with the noise. That said, there was construction right outside the hotel, but it was quiet at night and fun to watch the Italian crew work during the day! Another guest had trouble opening and closing her shutters, so ask for help they lock open and closed!
car rental atlanta airport Breakfast at the hotel is well stocked Stella is very friendly and will make fresh cappuccino if you ask! Sabrina and Eugenio are a big help at the front desk during car rental atlanta airport the day a wealth of information, and I always felt safe with Francesco and Nicola at night.
car rental atlanta airport Was visiting Venice for two days, decided to stay at this hotel on the island of Lido overlooking Venice across the Lagoon. We had a corner room with a view of the Lagoon. Besides a look over at Venice, it also provide and overlook of the town square and the activity of people going to take the Vaporettos over to Venice. So, there was a lot of activity, unfortunately car rental atlanta airport they are building a new boat terminal right in front of the hotel. This distracted slightly, and there was some noise from the construction work, but not to the point that it took away from the experience.
Lido was interesting enough and far less touristy than Venice, so staying and looking around car rental atlanta airport the island for a day was a fun activity. Walking for about 20 minutes takes you to the opposite side of the island where the beach is and is a nice stroll.
Breakfast was decent, although an automatic coffee maker which made Expresso car rental atlanta airport and Capuccino was OK, but not really good enough car rental atlanta airport to a coffee drinker. There were cold cuts, cereals, toaster, car rental atlanta airport fresh fruit no complaints.
There were not enough electrical outlets in the room, but worked around that. The TV had cable TV, but was worked with two remotes and did not initially work. Buttons needed to be pushed car rental atlanta airport in a certain order, and the front desk did not have extra coverage to send someone up to help out, so I was a day without a TV (although the channels were limited).
My wife and I stayed there for 4 nights with our two children. Since we were on a small road trip round northern Italy, Lido is the place, since you can bring your car along. car rental atlanta airport The Hotel is spotlessly clean and the service and welcoming you receive when arriving leaves you elevated for several days. We got a room on the third floor with a double bed and two sofa beds, where you could overlook the lagoon all the way to St. Marks, when standing two steps. Fantastic view, we stood there every afternoon, enjoying car rental atlanta airport a glass of wine, when we were back from Venice, having a siesta.
The main Vaporetto terminal is just a one minute walk away, so we could easily get back and forth between Venice and Lido which meant that we even could go to Venice car rental atlanta airport in the evening for dinner together with the kids since we were never far away from a Vaporetto stop.
There are an extremely small parking car rental atlanta airport facility at the hotel they asked kindly if they should park the car I would recommend that you let them do it there can be squeezed 3-4 cars in there, but then be sure that you have all your gear in your room, and don t need anything from the car, it will be impossible to get to.

We read the reviews for this hotel and booked our reservation based on the reviews we read. We took the water taxi from the airport to the Hotel which takes about an hour, costs 13 euros one way. This is the only way to get to the hotel as Lido is an island across from the main part of Venice. We arrived car rental atlanta airport at the hotel in the AM, and were allowed to check into our room early which was great as we had flown all night. This hotel is one block from the Water Taxi pier, and is the most visible hotel when arriving in Lido, which is a major benefit conpared to persons trying to find their hotels in Venice. When going onto the main part of Vinice, you will see people car rental atlanta airport with maps, addresses of their hotels still gazing around trying to find out where the hotel is. The Panorama even though in Lido, is a wonderful location. Don t be concerned about getting around Venice, as the water taxis are the best and cheapest way to get around. Be sure that you board the water taxis that are routed vs the independent ones that take you anywhere, but for a much higher price. Just to clarify, the water taxis carry up to 100 people and are like buses in most cities, the Independents are like cabs. As for Lido, the hotel is right next to the main street which has shopping and dining and next to the bus stops to go around Lido which takes only an hour at most. The hotel was a very good buy for the money we paid. The rooms were very clean, everything worked, the breakfast car rental atlanta airport was great, with Stella serving and insuring that all the food was fresh. car rental atlanta airport She was very proficient in handing the food service by herself. Sabrina ran the fornt desk, advised car rental atlanta airport us on everything car rental atlanta airport from how to get the bus, the cheapest way to travel by buying 2 day passes from the water taxi, to where to eat dinner. If we were to return to Venice, I would stay here again without question.
