Now, I personally do believe in ghosts, whether they be imprints of the energy of an event or person

As the United States' oldest city, St. Augustine has more than its share of history - and, as a consequence, a lot of deaths over the years that have left behind a lot of spirits to encounter. travel info for idaho colorado nevada Now, whether you believe in ghosts or not, they usually travel info for idaho colorado nevada have very interesting history behind travel info for idaho colorado nevada them, and the best ghost tours highlight that far more than the spookiness.
A Ghostly Experience is just one of many ghost tours that St. Augustine offers, and if and when I get a chance to return to the oldest city, I'll be sure to check out another to compare and contrast the experiences travel info for idaho colorado nevada in future Nevermore's Travels entries. Pertaining to a Ghostly Experience, I purchased my tickets online before I left for my St. Augustine trip (there's a $2 discount on tours for purchasing online), and called the morning of my first day in St. Augustine to reserve a spot on the tour for the night.
The tours book up pretty quickly, so I'd advise making sure to book as early in the morning as possible, especially during peak tourism season. After my traveling companion and I checked in, we waited for a few minutes as our tour guide, a woman named Nicolette, took stock of all of her tour members - there are multiple tour groups travel info for idaho colorado nevada who go out at once, and each tour visits travel info for idaho colorado nevada slightly different travel info for idaho colorado nevada places travel info for idaho colorado nevada depending on your guide. On our tour we visited the Tolomato and Huguenot Cemeteries, the Castillo de San Marcos, an Irish pub, a former funeral home, and the country's oldest wooden schoolhouse.
Nicolette, who was particularly quirky and colorful while telling her stories, travel info for idaho colorado nevada mentioned that she preferred to keep the spooky story aspect out of stories and tended to keep to historical records travel info for idaho colorado nevada and people's diary entries for the information on the ghosts' origins and their haunt habits. For the most part, she did this, and it made the creepier moments of some of the stories that much more terrifying. I won't spoil any of the stories here, but if your tour guide takes you to the wooden schoolhouse, travel info for idaho colorado nevada be prepared to feel like you're being watched for the rest of the night, even just from the historical aspect of the story, completely ignoring the later ghost stories that cropped up.
Now, I personally do believe in ghosts, whether they be imprints of the energy of an event or person, or actual travel info for idaho colorado nevada spirits, I'm not entirely certain - and that definitely made the stories that much better for me. However, even for skeptics, the tour offers quite a lot of fascinating history, travel info for idaho colorado nevada so I highly recommend travel info for idaho colorado nevada checking out a Ghostly Experience walking tour on your next trip to St. Augustine!

I've been on several, including this on in St. Augustine. Mostly I think the stories are completely made up (or greatly embellished), travel info for idaho colorado nevada meant to spook the visitors, but the tours themselves are usually pretty awesome. Nothing travel info for idaho colorado nevada spooky happened during our St. A. tour, but the story about the doll was really creepy!
I've provided special effects for a number of ghost tours across the U.S. When the effects are combined with great actors who are enthusiastic about the project, and when supported with carefully researches and fleshed-out historical information, the tours are absolutely amazing. Ghost tours are an entertaining way to learn more about the history of the community.
When I was teaching in FL, we went to St. Augustine every year, but we avoided the ghost tour. St. Augustine is one of my favorite places to visit. It is one of the initial places that our country's history began with Ponce de Leon. So rich with great stories as your lens points out.
