Right now is too early to check on the price of tickets as the airlines don t even have their schedule made out that far. You do have some time to find ways to make some extra money but I don t think that $ 420 will be able to pay for 2 tickets. If your mom is willing to drive, sometimes there will be cheaper fares if you fly out of Washington D.C. or Baltimore, MD. Those airports have more flights and more competition so therefore ticket prices may be lower than flying out of Norfolk. About 1 year before you are to fly, go to Southwest Airlines or AirTran and see if you can find a cheap ticket. I think JetBlue flies out of Richmond, VA.
