It wasn't that long ago when we applauded Nikki Sixx for admitting that Motley Crue was touring with Poison rental cars miami for the fans, despite their less than kind past comments . We also applauded him for wiping the egg off his face and making TV appearances with Poison frontman Bret Michaels. It truly seemed like everyone in the Crue camp were finally checking their egos at the door and giving fans something they obviously wanted. Well, so much for that…
In what we guess is a last minute attempt to maintain "credibility" as the tour starts to wind down, Nikki Sixx once again took a jab at their current tour mates in a new interview with The Delaware County Daily Times . When talking about the "drama" that occurred before the tour with Poison rental cars miami kicked off, Sixx said the following:
"Everything rental cars miami was fine, until Bret went on Piers Morgan and announced the tour when he knew he was supposed to do it with Motley Crue. It was a Motley Crue tour with the New York Dolls and Poison supporting, and that really pissed off my band. We didn't want the tour, because of the reasons not personally, but because of keeping things segregated and then when he went and took it into his own hands that it was like his idea — yeah.
This comes shortly after Sixx denied "apologizing" to Michaels for the band's previous comments about Poison. So why did Crue even bother touring with Poison? While he continued to say that it's what the fans wanted, rental cars miami Sixx seemed less than thrilled rental cars miami by the fans' choice, saying:
"The fans chose Guns 'N Roses first, Def Leppard second and Poison third and we're like, 'Really?' We talked to Guns 'N Roses, talked to Def Leppard, rental cars miami talked to Poison who was available and the other two weren't. It just worked out."
Sixx also discussed how Crue shouldn t be put in the same category as bands from the 80's LA hair metal scene. Now we do agree that Crue were a bit heavier than the average hair metal group. Plus, if we were touring with a band that we trashed publicly before, we'd be a tad embarrassed rental cars miami as well. But is Sixx seriously trying to still create a riff between the two bands? Is Crue so afraid of looking "retro" or lame by touring with Poison that they have to bash them whenever they get a chance? Are they seriously afraid that touring with Poison will lose them more credibility than all the reality TV crap Vince Neil and Tommy Lee already did? Seriously?!
While might not necessarily disagree that Motley Crue is better than Poison, it's a shame that Sixx and the rest of Crue can't get over themselves to realize that they are on a pretty cool package. Sure, Sixx admits that the fans really are the ones benefiting from the tour, but we bet you that both Crue and Poison are also benefiting very well from performing together.
Motley Crue s singer was the only redeeming part of their show. It s overblown Vegas theatrics counting on the utterly drunk following reliving glory days. They are the biggest retro band I ve ever seen. I had an open mind seeing them on Ozzfest. rental cars miami They were horrible except for the singer. He needs a new gig, in a band that isn t so full of guys so sure they are famous they don t care that they play horrible today.
I don t know who Nikki and Motley Crue think they are. Bret mentioned this tour back in July of 2010 and got b*tched slapped by Motley. Same thing when I seen him in November of 2010 and Motley b*tch slapped him again saying no way in hell would Motley ever tour with Poison. It was Bret s idea 1st to tour with Motley to give the fans a great night of music. Of course what does Motley know about music? Motley doesn t even play their stuff live, it s all tapes and effects. rental cars miami Watch Nikki s hands, not even matching the bass line and what s being played.
I don t know where Nikki gets off thinking he is this current new age act? They are Motley Crue for christ sake, that name and logo screams 80 s. Motley is out of their minds, they currently wear MORE makeup and are more glam than Poison is. Motley has to rely on a huge fake theatrical production because they can t get in done live anymore in 2011.
Hurricane Sandy hasn t made landfall in the States yet, but Machine Head have canceled tonight s (26) show in Orlando FL. The band s Facebook page says they ll post more details as they become more available. The show, the Halloweenie Roast, was also to have featured Rob Zombie, rental cars miami Marilyn Manson, In This Moment, and All That Remains, among others.
Vardøger, a film set to Mortiis Gesteskrank, is now available as a free download via mortiis.com . The film was made by noted Norwegian shock filmmaker rental cars miami Reinert Kiil. We ve only seen the teaser, but it looks like Cattle Decapitation s video is at least 30x more disturbing.
