Aussie metalcore band Parkway Drive has announced an Australian tour. The run begins on December 13 and will go through the majority of the month, so if any of your friends are a fan of the band this could be the perfect Christmas present. Since Parkway Drive formed in 2002, they've released three full-length albums, one EP and two splits. The most recent album, Deep Blue , has received both fan and critical acclaim, having debuted at number 2 on the iTunes san antonio luxury hotels Album Chart in Australia and earning them an ARIA Award in the "Best Hard Rock, Heavy Metal Album" category. They're currently in the studio working on their upcoming album, Atlas , which is slated to be released sometime this year. Parkway Drive's frontman/vocalist, Winston McCall, has been quoted as saying the new album is going to be "darker and heavier than anything." I don't know whether to be scared or excited.
