So, now that I'm all rested up and refreshed, I can tell you about my day yesterday. In reality, the shortest route from Yakima to Seattle is only in between discount travel books 2 and 2 1/2 hours long, but we decided to take the scenic route through Mt. Rainier National Park, which meant the trip took all day, but we got som INCREDIBLE views and photos. I'll add some of the photos later when I have my camera card with me in my hotel room, but I suspect that some of my best photos were actually taken with my film camera.
We drove in the East entrance of the park and wove around on the narrow road until we got all the way to the base of the mountain (Mt. Rainier), and wove back around and exited through the West entrance. It was awesome the whole way, and I mean awesome like, in awe. We'll be staying here all of today and tomorrow morning, then we'll head out to our final destination, Bainbridge Island.
