So, now that I'm all rested up and refreshed, I can tell you about my day yesterday. In reality, the shortest route from Yakima to Seattle is only in between discount travel books 2 and 2 1/2 hours long, but we decided to take the scenic route through Mt. Rainier National Park, which meant the trip took all day, but we got som INCREDIBLE views and photos. I'll add some of the photos later when I have my camera card with me in my hotel room, but I suspect that some of my best photos were actually taken with my film camera.
We drove in the East entrance of the park and wove around on the narrow road until we got all the way to the base of the mountain (Mt. Rainier), and wove back around and exited through the West entrance. It was awesome the whole way, and I mean awesome like, in awe. Well, we're a few minutes away from Grandma's' house, in our room at the Quality Inn Hotel (room 211). We'll be staying here all of today and tomorrow morning, then we'll head out to our final destination, Bainbridge Island.
I mentioned that yesterday (and the day before too) were sunny, discount travel books hot, and pretty out. Well today, I'm looking out my window and the sky is puffy and grey, there's a little rain drizzling down, and the weather report says it's not supposed to get much above 70deg. today.
