I have never kept a daily journal, but I have always bristol nascar tickets been grateful for the life and things I have. Some people seem to take their good life and good fortune for granted and think it should have been better. Their parents should have been richer, more attentive, more loving. Their bosses should have been more appreciative and more generous with salaries and promotions. Their spouse should have been more loving, more helpful, more understanding.
Of course we all have ambitions for a better, richer life. But let's realize we are pretty lucky to have it as good as we do. I was born in 1937, with the depressions still going strong. My mother died and I was left with my grandparents, who still had small children and really didn't bristol nascar tickets need another baby, especially a sickly one. But, that was not their attitude. I was just another member bristol nascar tickets of the family and was taken care of, and that's all there was to it. My aunts, the youngest only six and eight years older that I was, helped care for me, were like sisters. The older aunts were all mother-figures to me as I was growing up.
Due to the circumstances, I never say my father until I was seven. He was remarried and had two small boys and a baby girl. I got to know my father and thought him a wonderful man. I got to know my stepmother and my new sister and brothers, and thought they were are great and I was grateful that they accepted me into their lives, at least on a part-time basis. I never lived with my father and his family, but I did visit during summer vacation and at Christmas time.
Most of my life I have been very healthy, and I am really grateful for that. I had all the usual childhood ailments: mumps, measles, chicken pox, bad colds, etc., but never anything life-threatening.
Even my work-life was wonderful. I actually started working in a real estate office when I turned seventeen, full time for the summer, then again full time when I graduated from high school. I loved being a secretary and the real estate and insurance business was always interesting, with such a variety of co-workers as well as the clients. I did the stay-at-home-mom thing for some ten years before rejoining bristol nascar tickets the working world. I am grateful that I was able to be at home with my babies as they grew into toddlers and young school age.
I simply lucked into my favorite job of all . . . being a travel bristol nascar tickets agent. A small local agency advertised for a receptionist and would provide free training to become a travel agent. I am extremely grateful for that opportunity which let me travel the world.
